Technician - Endpoint Installation

About the Role

Responsible for the installation and/or removal of endpoint modules used on utility meters. Technicians are responsible for commuting to assigned locations for daily assignments. Assignments are delivered via mobile application to your phone or tablet. You will process field actions and data completion tasks accurately and within provided timeframes. SEP will provide paid step-by-step training for your job activities and to ensure safety before you begin field work. Supervisory and management opportunities will be offered for those who excel and show aptitude.

Primary Duties

  • Installing and/or removing meter modules in residential and commercial applications

  • Driving throughout project area(s)

  • Meeting deadlines for work completion

  • The ability to walk long distances in varying terrain throughout most of the work

  • Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, the austere to city scapes

  • Ability to operate around people and animals as required

  • No experience necessary, paid training is provided.

Requirements

  • The ability to work varying shifts to meet customer project needs

  • This is a physically demanding position that includes:

    • Bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking several miles per day

    • Carry up to 20lbs of equipment

    • Be able to effectively communicate with customers in a courteous manner displaying excellent customer service and perform other duties as assigned

    • Performs all work in a safe manner and observe/follow all company/client procedures

    • Possess excellent customer service/communication skills

    • Be available for overtime (which may include weekends)

    • Be comfortable using computers/technology

  • Pass drug screening

  • Posses a valid, unexpired driver's license

  • Be of legal age and commensurate aptitude
